in this video I will show you the
procedure to create the compound world
around this house but before we create
the compound wall we have to create a
plane that represent the ground
so let's align the UCS on this face I
will give UCS command and I will align
the UCS over here and I'll just give
enter to accept that orientation and I
will go to plan view by clicking on the
top face in the view cube now we have to
create a layer called 3d land I have
already created it and have made that as
an active layer
now using a rectangle
I'll give a rectangle man and I'll pick
my first corner over here and the
opposite corner is at a distance of at
the rate 3600 5-3000 let this be the
size of the land
I will move this land in such a way that
our house is right at the center of this
land okay now I'll create a surface on
this land using the region command so
I'll give region and I will select this
land
let us go to a south west isometric and
shade the object
so we have created a plane that
represent the land next we will create
the compound wall so I will change the
visual styles to 2d wireframe and I will
create some profiles on a particular
layer wherein you actually keep the
compound word so I have already created
a layer called 3d seawall in this
drawing I have made that as a current
layer before we create the compound wall
and let us study a compound wall so this
is how a compound wall will appear once
you make it this is just a single
segment of a compound wall set several
segments makes an entire compound wall
around the house in this compound wall
segment essentially there are two parts
one is the wall second one is a pillar
the wall along with the pillar length is
three meters or 300 centimeter and the
length of the wall is 276 centimeter and
the length of the pillar is 24 it is a
24 by 24 pillar and the height of the
pillar is 135 centimeters and let us
come back to the compound wall so the
compound one has got a base unit of 60
centimeter high and there is a beading
of 10 centimeter on the top of which
there are vertical members with a height
of 45 centimeter and again the beading
of 10 centimeter coming on top and the
distance between each vertical member is
14 centimeter I mean this gap was 14
centimeter now let's create this wall I
will start with rectangle so I cave
rectangle man and I will pick the first
corner here and the opposite corner as
at the rate 276
comma 15 I am trying to create the base
unit of the compound 1 then I will give
extrude this throw height of 60
centimeter which is already given there
this particular height then I have to
create this beading so for that I will
make a rectangular here and the opposite
corner at the rate 276 and the thickness
is 24 okay then I will extrude this
through height of 10 centimeter then I
will move this with this as a base point
and this as a second point so mid to MIT
moment is done then we will create the
vertical members so I will give another
rectangle with first corner here and the
opposite corner at the rate 15 comma 15
now we'll extrude this through height of
45 centimeter so I will give extrude and
a height of 45 you can see that that is
the height now move this with this mid
as a base point and this mid as a second
point now you have to create multiple
copies so I'll give array array classic
and I will select this object
and number of rows one row and number of
columns ten columns and the row offset
is 1 and the column offset is 29 and
I'll let us preview the array so this is
how it will appear and I'll just give ok
so I have created multiple copies now
you can just copy this beading right on
top this is a base point and this make
as a second point
now we have to create the pillar you
know that the size of the pillar is 24
by 24 so let us make a square
I'll give rectangle man and at the rate
first corner I picked already and the
second point the corner is at the rate
twenty four comma twenty four then
extrude this through height of 135
because that is the height of the
compound wall pillar now I will move
this with this mid as a base point and
you have to find out this mint as a
second point which is on the one now we
have to create a small capital on the
pillar so I will give rectangle man I'll
pick the first corner here an opposite
corner here and I have to offset this
rectangle so I'll give offset I will
give 5 as offset distance this is the
object to offset
I'll give up set once again offset
distance is five and this is a select
objective set and side to offset now I
have to extrude this and you have to
give a taper angle taper angle is 30
degree I'll give and when I am asked to
give the height of extrusion you can
just see the preview of it and you can
just pick so that you will get such a
shape so this is how you make a compound
wall segment now this is the time to
block this because we need multiple
copies of the same object to be
repetitively used around the house
now let's block this compound wall
segment so I'll give block command
and I will give the block name as comp
wall you can give any suitable name and
I will select the base point as this mid
point and I will select this entire
objects in the common wall segment now
the object on the screen will get
deleted
since this option is chosen as delete
now I will give ok to confirm the block
creation so I have made a block here now
we have come to the most interesting
part of this tutorial that is creating
multiple copies of the same block along
this boundary of the land so I have to
create a polyline profile around the
land in fact
and I can give measure command
measure command you know the measure
command is used to divide any object
into segments having predefined length
so this time I am going to measure this
particular profile you know that measure
command has got a option called block
option so I will go to block option of
this command so it will ask you to
select the block name to insert in
multiple copies so I'll give the block
name as comp wall which you have created
just now
now it'll ask you do you want to align
the block yes I want to align it
this is the default so just give an
enter now it will ask you for a segment
length you know that the length of an
entire compound 1 segment is 300
centimeter just give that length here
and this give an enter you can see that
the entire object the entire block gets
aligned around the boundary which you
have created here one segment is missing
but you can either insert or you can
fill it later absolutely no problem in
one go you could make the entire thing
aligned along the boundary of the land
so this is the advantage of this
procedure we can erase the compound
walls in the front side because we will
be generating a view from this side so
even if there are compound walls those
walls are not going to be seen so we
will just erase these segments here I'll
just pick individual segments one by one
even these three segments are not
required because we will be keeping the
camera over here and will be capturing a
view okay now let us shade the object
and see
so this is how you make a compound wall
around the boundary of the land
