VariCAD 2016 English - Lesson 1/49 - Introduction to VariCAD Video Lecture | VariCAD: A Fundamental Training - Design Softwares

hello wall we are here for the new
training course of very card 2016 this
is about the brand new version and it is
released this course due to a lot of
requests from our youtubers from our
customers that demand an updated
training course for this brand new
version first and before we start seeing
the content of this lesson that
basically is just introduction to tool
the very card I'd like to speak a little
about a couple of topics first I'd like
to to thank you all for the comments and
the emails and the feedback we have when
we release the the course for Valley Cod
2014 we had a lot of people asking for
many things and among those things also
an updated version for for the these
brand new 2016 version of Erica not only
in English but also in Portuguese so we
will release at the same time lessons in
both English and Portuguese and I would
like to ask your feedback and to ask
your help for comments on the lessons
and if they are ok what you like what
you don't like and if you need help in
your question in in what might be not so
clear okay
I'd like to talk you a little about also
complementary information we have for
these videos because we have a
theoretical course that in in other
topics has these videos or the links for
these videos inside and let me show you
a little about what we have for these
course this is an example a couple of
slides we will have these completely
updated also for English and for
Portuguese we have a lot of slides
showing the different topics of the
software with images showing what is
wanted to be to be seen we have links

improve the course the theoretical side

so now starting with lesson as I told
you this is the brand new version of a
very current you know read that very Cod
is a mechanical engineering package for
CAD 2d and 3d the professional package
at this moment there are several
languages available English German
Chinese Portuguese probably in the
future we will have other languages
supported hopefully we here in cadSoft
can give you also Spanish not so long
from now and basically very Cod is what
we can call holding program because even
that we speak about module that the
software is inside it there are no
modules when you buy the software so you
have the 2d drawing the 3d modeling the
libraries of mechanical parts and to the
symbol symbols Bills of materials title
blocks you can have 3d parameters that
at this moment constraints mechanical
calculations etc etcetera all these are
inside so you don't have to spend any
extra money to to have all these for
your work besides it is important to
know that regarding the previous version
this brand new very card has a lot of
improvements in many things for those
among you which are interested in
knowing in detail what are the new
functionalities Pasillas an email and we
will reply to each one of you showing in
detail all the improvements but I can
say for example we have new methods for
creating or making addiction of solids
we can now have a new functionality
called lofting to create solids through
several sections we have we can edit
with new commands basic solids like
boxes cylinders etc we have a lot of new
functions into the in new ways because
with construction lines more options etc
etc many improvements and 3d kernel and
importing files under step and the gg in
DXF formats that's a lot of things so
for more than for more details send us

the picture of what is going on okay
basically regarding these software it
changed a little because now even that
you can optionally receive a DVD with
after everything is web-based now so
after you contact us or break up you
will receive a link to download the file
from our site or their site and you'll
be able with the codes to have a proper
license to work with your video program
on the yard where and software we
recommend if you are using Windows I
would say at least Windows 8.1 or 10 if
you if you have it already updated and
on the Linux we have a lot of
distributions you can use but the ones
we recommend are what we call LTS a long
time supported or professional
distributions which are more stable and
supported by by companies so in terms of
the art we're in RAM we recommend at
least 2gb bytes but if you are planning
to work with 3d big big assemblies you
should have more and considered web 8 or
even 16 if you are working with very big
files graphic cards should use any
graphic card but you should have OpenGL
support ideally OpenGL 4.0 or 4.3 ok you
can use the 1.1 version of OpenGL but in
this case some functionalities may not
be available you can have limitation in
your work the rent for your graphic card
1g bodies it's enough but again big
files - geo bytes or even 4 gigabytes
will help you too
better performance in your software we
have already support for multi-threading
on the under processors and we can use
until eight we can use two two monitors
also and you'll have also a description
on the theoretical course in some tasks
that you can do in one monitor and
another one and on the other story and
you have also versions in terms of the
software support to run very cut in both
32-bit versions of Windows or 64 bits
for sure we recommend you the 64 bits
because also of performance and the
future is you have more machines now for
the 64 bits and for the 32 so all these
explanations and finally I would like to
show you one function where you can test
your hardware and where you can do
benchmark of different machines okay you
will see that my laptop is my computer
which is a laptop and HP is not the best
of the machines is not it's not bad but
it's not the best in the market but this
this command is a little different from
previous version because now you have a
standard file to test the same position
the same file it's an automatic
procedure inside the program so it's
easier and results are more reliable to
compare the performance of each machine
so basically you should come to this
area here and write HW tests like this
ok and do enter in your keyboard and now
you get these dialog box where you can
say method of testing on the current
file which you can do it but I don't
recommend
so that you can do this benchmark I was
talking about so perform tests on
standard benchmark file continue and now
we should let the program work okay it
will take a little and for sure because
it's a performance it depends on the
machine you have so at this moment we
are doing this this is a centerfire that

it's not the best of the computers even

gigabytes of vram and I have two
gigabytes of RAM in my graphic card so
it takes some time okay
usually I don't work with very big
assemblies but anyway each one of you
should choose the proper machine to to
be adapt to your kind of parts to your
kind of work so it's almost finished
couple more seconds
before we had only available the
possibility to to do this kind of tests
in file that you had in your computer or
in one of the sample files that came
with very Cod but I think this it was a
very nice idea and improvement to to
analyze the performance of each machine
with a softer so I'm almost done and the
idea is to ste rebuild objects it took
me 86 seconds something like that or
milliseconds okay so with this test you
can do you can run these procedures in
several machines and you'll be able to
see what is the performance for each
machine so basically this first lesson
