this video is to demonstrate the
benefits of using the origin central
dialog origin central is a feature to
help users and getting started with
origin by default the origin central
dialog opens when an origin project is
launched the dialog can as well be open
by selecting the help menu and then
selecting origin central or simply
select the f11 key one of the benefits
of the dialog is the grass samples tab
which can help both new and old users
achieve their graphing goals by viewing
a sample that we provide under the graph
sample tab there are many examples you
can search through the category list or
search by entering keywords to find a
specific graph type for example many
users have trouble making graphs with
multiple axes when I type multi axis as
a keyword and then select the Enter key
the dialog filters to only lists multi
axis samples next I select the graph
that is most similar to what I want to
plot for example I will choose this
graph which demonstrates a graph with
two column plots and one line symbol
plot to open the sample project simply
double-click the project once open
includes a graph a notebook with
instructions and a worksheet with sample
data that demonstrates how the data
should be set up in the worksheet for
plotting this specific graph type when I
import my data into the worksheet and
replace the sample data the graph will
automatically update if needed I can
then easily rescale the axis for each
layer if I want to plot the graph from
the beginning I can follow the provided
instructions in the notebook in order to
recreate this graph other benefits of
the origin central dialog is the
analysis samples tab which will help the
user in getting acclimated with analysis
features in origin as well the project
tab provides a way for quickly opening
recently saved and unsaved files let's
say I worked on a project and did not
save my
origin will keep the project with the
previous edits made for seven days to
restore the unsaved files simply select
the file link and the project will open
