this is 73 in this tutorial we're going
to create the first surface by the
extrude feature so if you remember in
the beginner tutorials we used extrude
to create some solid bodies but you can
use it in surfaces as well so let's
create a very simple surface choose
plane
let's make a line finish sketch extrude
so you notice the same extrude feature
is applied on that line and you know the
lion has no thickness or mass so from
that you're going to make a surface in
the direction you want and you'll note
here these other icons do you cut so on
they are not activated because in this
case it is only a surface so here you
can specify the the distance now here
you can use the direction exactly like
the extrude for solid bodies and you
have two different directions with two
different distances when you are done
with that surface okay so here you have
your surface as you notice it has a
transparent look so you have to
understand that is a surface as we said
in the previous tutorial it has a
different icon for extrusion this molar
cube and the part is all the parts there
a surface and you have these surface
bodies this is all the basics you are
you know when you see the surface by
pencil let's create another
sketch and this time let's make a circle
finish extrude so here when you are
extruded because you have a closed
profile it considered as a solid but you
need to make our service grab select the
surface here so again determine the
transparent part and here you have the
distance directions when you're done
click OK as well you can make a surface
from any profile let's make another 5
finish extrude Nick to direction
they're half digs through the surface
