we continue discussing our modes
now the next mode is multiply this mode
is found in between our paint tools and
also in our layers now here I have made
two layers from the same for graph if I
click here and make this layer 2 a
multiply mode you see how it makes the
image much darker now the way this works
is it takes the pixel values of the
upper layer and multiplies them with the
pixel values of the lower layer and then
divides them by 255 and that that
results darker image you can decrease
the opacity to gain some control if you
want let's undo that
and now put this other different image
to multiply and you see where the pixels
intercept how I have this darker image
let's delete those layers here I've made
some brush strokes with different colors
and I will use my brush in a multiply
mode and take this purple color here and
just go around it in again the same
thing now the values of the cour
previously applied multiply with a color
which you apply now and divides it by
255 and we get this darker area we can
continue applying and soon we will get
completely black so this is how this
multiply mode works
