How To Make Glowing Text - GIMP 2.8 Tutorial Video Lecture | A GIMP 2.8 Tutorial for Beginners - Design Softwares

hi in this tutorial I'll show you a
simple way to create glowing text using
GIMP let's go to file new and enter
width and height then click OK after
that go to edit filled with foreground
color to fill with black car then I'll
create a new layer fill with
transparency and click OK then I'll go
to the text tool click and type GIMP
then I'll double click to select the
text and change the color to dark green
and then I'll click OK now I'll change
the size of the text to 400 pixels I'm
also making a bold then with the move
tool I'll position the text
after that I'm going to select alpha to
selection then I'll go to select border
5 pixels click ok then create new layer
again defaults ok then I will make this
layer invisible for now and change the
foreground color to brighter green color
and click OK then I'll fill with the
foreground color again select none make
this layer visible again
and make sure I'm on the top layer go to
filters blur Gaussian blur here I can
find the text now type in 20 make sure
the chain is locked
click enter then click OK and you see we
have created a glowing text very fast
and easy in GIMP so that's it for this
