using GIMP and get a really good results
now first thing we need to do is go to
colors select threshold and here I'm
going to adjust this
move it over here then click this option
to duplicate the layer and this will
create a layer with the threshold
applied then with the fuzzy select 2 I'm
going to click here next thing I'll make
this layer invisible and make this one
active then go to filters and hands and
select Hill selection and this is a
plug-in you can google it and install it
it's a very useful plugin then click OK
I'm going to pass around here until this
finishes and you see the result here now
let's select none and you see that we
still have problems so I'm going to
delete this layer and again go to colors
threshold again adjust to the right and
you can see the outline of the tattoo
I'm going to click this option again
create a new layer then you see now with
the fuzzy tool if I try to select it
will not work so ctrl shift 80 this is
like this and grab the crop to current
layer only and then make selection like
this hit the enter key to crop this
there and then I'll use this tool select
by Cour click here and this will select
all the black turn the layer off again
here I will repeat the heal selection
and this will go to work I'm going to
pause the game it's finished gain
control shift a to deselect or use the
select none option when you see that we
are making a progress here now we still
need to do this one more time so I'm
going to again delete this layer
and go to treasure all again adjust this
to the right

selection

and repeat the heal selection and once

it's ready now control shift 8 dis
select and you see that we are almost
down here now a little problem that my
appear is that you see that this blurred
the image if you notice here I'm going
to pan up a little bit you see that the
upper part of the skin is a lot more
sharp and this is kind of blurry and I'm
going to delete this layer and you see
it's very visible so what we can do here
is make a selection now GIMP doesn't
have a working sharpen tool so we need
to go around this I'll make a selection
here
with a brush tool with a sharpen tool it
will be much easier I have a video about
that in the beginners guide where we can
do it with a brush but in this case I
just further the selection and use the
filter unsharp mask and here for the
radius enter 3 click OK and this will
sharpen the image as you can see here so

and this image needs a little more
retouching with the point tool nothing
