hi in this video I'm going to show you
how to censor using GIMP and I'm going
to demonstrate different ways to do this
the first one is very simple the
rectangle select tool I'm going to make
a selection and then I'm going to use
ctrl , to fill with black color or you
can go to the edit menu and select the
option from here and I'm going to remove
the selection and you see how this looks
now let's undo this with control Z and
again with the rectangular select tool
I'll make another selection go to
filters this time blur Gaussian blur and
here I'm going to type a number click OK
and because this number is high this is
going to take some time to apply the
filter
and you see how this looks with
control-shift al dis select now the
third one that I'm going to show you is
game filters but this time we'll select
this pixelized option and I'm going to
type 70 pixels here click enter and the
number here depends on the size of the
image the width and height of the image
I'm going to click OK to apply the
effect then ctrl shift a to deselect and
you see this is probably the best result
now let's undo this with ctrl Z and I'm
going to show you with the scale tool
I'm going to click on the chain and
divide by 2 click enter and resize this
and this will scale down the image twice
then I'll go to the image fit canvas two
layers zoom in and then again I'm going
to make a selection first then I'll go
to filters select reshow and I'll leave
the number 270 but the image is now
twice smaller and then when I click OK
you see the effect is different now
so let's undo this and ctrl Z go to
filters we show and this time I'll type
35 which is 70 divided by 2 click OK and
you see the effect now and this is what
I wanted to show you that the number of
the blur radius depends on the size of
