hi in this video I'm going to be
answering a question from a subscriber
and basically he or she wants to know
how to add guides to layer boundaries
and let's first create some layers using
this option out typing 200 pixels by 200
pixels and use this option field type
with foreground color which is black
just click OK now use the Move tool to
position this here and then this option
to duplicate let's do this two times
then with the move so I'm going to drag
these and if you want to align them you
can use the alignment tool for example I
can click on this one hold down the
shift key select this one and then this
one and use this option and then I can
use the distributive ssin for example
type in an offset of 300 and then use
this option over here and you see now
the space between the squares is equal
and now the quickest way to add guides
to the layer boundary is to make a
selection first to select the
information inside the entire layer and
the best way to do this to you right
click on the layer and select alpha to
selection because we may use one of the
select tools but if you have a image
instead of just black power it will be
more difficult to select the entire
layers so just go alpha to selection
then go to your image and guides and new
guides from selection and you see where
this positioned the guides and you can
go to the next one alpha to selection
image guides new guide from selection
and then the third one again alpha to
selection image guides new guides from
selection and you see what this dead
