are done editing I promise to do it at

to denoise images now i mentioned that
it's very important to choose compatible
images but sometimes one of the images
can be a little noisy like in my case
here this image has a little bit of
noise so i'm going to apply a filter
that will improve the final result now
let's first see how we can move the face
all we need to do is click here to link
these two layers and this will allow us
to transform them both at the same time
and if you're wondering which ones are
the transform tools you can go to the
Tools menu transform tools and you can
see them so now i can move rotate scale
these two layers together so I've grab
the move tool and now I can position the
face and this is pretty subjective you
can just experiment until you like the
result you can also scale down the face
if you need to so this is how easy is to
reposition the new face now let's see
how we can denoise this image I'm going
to select the layer go to filters
gimmick for those of you who don't have
this plugin I will include a link in the
description you can download it and add
it to GIMP it's a very useful plugin
with a lot of filters so definitely
check it out now here I'm going to
select the repair category scroll down
and find smooth wavelets there is
something important you need to know
about filters that remove noise from
images there are a lot of them some work
better than others but they all have
something in common
that's by removing noise they're
actually blurring the image and there is
no avoiding this the only way you can
try to achieve better results is by
adjusting the settings of the filter and
also you can use selections to apply the
effect only where it's necessary now in
this case I'm not going to bother with a
lot of precise selections so the first
thing I'll do is just reduce the
threshold here 20 point six and then
I'll just click ok then the filter will
go to work this is going to take some
time so I'm going to pulse here so you
can see the result after the filter was
applied I'm going to hit ctrl Z and
control why so you can see the before
and after and I noticed that this is
much better than before and over here we
have an area where we still have some
problems so now I'm going to use the
selection I'm going to activate the
quick mask grab the brush tool click
here to swap the BG and FG cowers I'm
going to increase the size of the brush
and also reduce the opacity a little bit
i'm going to click here
next I'm going to turn off the quick
mask then go to filters jimick and this
time I'm going to increase the threshold
back to one and then just click OK after
the filter is applied I'll go to the
select menu and choose none and I'm also
going to turn on these two layers make
them visible game and you can see now
that the area here on the forehead looks
much better of course the result will be
much better if both images were very
good quality but I think with what we
have this is a very good result pretty
realistic Face Swap and i hope this
