now using the model of the fork that I
created earlier we're going to learn how
to apply a material finish to it so what
you want to do first is you want to
select the the solid like so so click on
your browser and then click on the solid
so it's fully highlighted right click
and then you want to scroll down to
where it says material now you can see
the pill appears again this two options
here is physical and visual let's look
at physical first physical option allows
you to scroll down you can pick a range
of materials that have been already
provided to us by Autodesk so for
example can click still high strength
low alloy and you can see it's quite
kind of nice it gives you the highlights
so it doesn't matter which view you view
it from you'll always get a nice shine
on it and the highlights are there then
you can do that for any product that you
do any model that you render you can add
any material you want in the similar
format now visual is quite handy visual
is more not so much focusing on the
actual material but if there's a
particular color you want to add to talk
to a product so you can just click on
any in this color wheel and you'll get
the color you're after notice how you
still get the highlights on your object
here you've got some custom textures
that you can program appearance so you
can also go would you know they've got
different types of wood glass and you
can see there that you can get a glass
sort of finish so have a play so to
recap go to a browser select your solid
right-click material and either physical
or visual it's completely up to you we
can go paint I can do a nice funky color
and there you go it's nice and easy and
then you've got something there that you
can use for presentations or just for
visual aids hope that helps
