Tappy sub runner part 3 Video Lecture | Construct Tutorial: Become a Game Maker - Game Development

hey buddy just jump with planet Tech and
today we're going to be going over our
infinite game so um I a bit of a brain
destruction moment and had official
papers Leslie you guys know I am in
college so if you see like a time lapse
of like a week where I don't do anything
it means it's pretty much a really tough
week I'm writing I'm out for your
collagen College finishing up my
bachelor's in a degree so I'm just like
so close to getting it done that I am
like going into overdrive to get it done
so I'm like if I rush it I can get a
semester and a half be done with it but
that's if I like go on caffeine
overdrive and don't sleep for like a
long period of time and don't work as
many hours as I am right now but if I go
normal it's two semester so within about
two semesters I can graduate with my
bachelor's degree what I'm also doing is
that i'm also at a junior college cuz i
went to a junior college that i went to
a four-year college so I could save
somebody I am actually back there
getting some classes that I need for my
current degree but also getting some
that I need for my other degree so uh I
have my bachelor's and i'm going to get
my accounting degree somebody get like a
masters or whatever a bachelor's
master's something like that in that
degree so that's kind of like it wasn't
like oh I'm gonna get that was kind of
like oh I could get that too since I
have like a bunch of the courses I can
just get that pretty easily too so I've
been like super busy with school because
I'm like full up on my four year and
then I like the the two year college I'm
like happy the person there the advice
it that I said she's still there so I
was like she was like really freaking
out that I was like kind of like dislike
blow up because I'm working 40 hours
in YouTube making video games full class
set at my four year college and I was
going to take a full set at my junior
colors just feels like you can't do that
like literally can't do that so I was
like okay so I'm taking half to 12 so I
thought of a couple classes there some
like books everywhere so I'm very sad
there's like no videos for occasionally
I'm going to be like on days where it's
low where I like almost no homework I
get down or whatever I'm just like I'm
just gonna book a bunch of tutorials and
walkthroughs and it's like release them
so you guys see something I know you
guys been like where's everything and
you guys haven't actually really
supportive by putting stuff like oh if
you do this and this could check to
tutorial or I know this is all but if
you want to update it and do this I've
been like oh that's so awesome I can
actually do that and you guys actually
been helping me think of new ways so I'm
gonna finish up this tutorial I thought
I could get it down one video it's
actually getting kind of late right now
and I know for some reason after I got
home from work I lost it and I closed my
eyes and I woke up three hours later and
I was like still tired so I have some
work to do tomorrow but I will be doing
a finishing this up tomorrow so you will
see everything so we're going to do this
and then we're going to in this video
we're going to do the water game so it's
going to be simple version and then
we're going to do this up it tomorrow so
I'm going to work on this tomorrow and
that's when you could choose your ship
tomorrow we're going to add in the
ability so we have our money system in
this version we have the plants I'm
going to add in the rocks which actually
are the items that you have to avoid the
plans you don't really have to avoid cuz
there's plants but the rocks you are
going to actually have to avoid and then
we're going to do our spaceship game
tomorrow so we're in a fish up the lower
game started on the spaceship game
tomorrow and then finish up a
hearthstone game and like under three
videos it's got to get like getting done
so you guys can have it
and then I want to work on a Miniver
Island version of don't starve where you
literally have the you know take
coquettes capture face blah blah blah
the whole thing and I really want to
make that like a hardcore tutorial so
it's going to be up it's going to be on
the more the higher difficulty so it's
not going to be like an easy media
missing to start out easy like all my
tutorials but then it's going to get
kind of complicated well so I'm going to
be finishing a bunch of FPS walkthroughs
or not of PS boxers but of all my game
walkthroughs or I try to start I'm
actually just going to die finish them
so like the blob alien rage all of them
except for alien I will fit a sheep at
this is like no not going to not going
to do that not going to put myself to
that so yeah let's get started on this
and finish this up so this isn't the
actual original file I'm gonna be
porting everything over this all this is
my happy it's happy subs but it used to
be was tapi plain as I can I'll just
move over everything over to here
because this was like the perfect coding
and everything it made everything simple
it worked and i can add on to it i'll be
boarding all my files over to this
project files so expect the menu and
everything and actually i really really
like this set up to where i'll show you
real quick guys so we're going to run
our layout boom so we're going to have
text here so this will show you how much
money you have and then these this is
the sub 2 zur and then it's going to say
the cost is down here and then we're
going to have the little subscene so
this is just a demo scene but you're
going to see the submarine of the
basically the base launcher to where you
see your ship so you can click a menu
and see that so this will just say hey
these are the shifts available to you
you can use them if you don't see one of
these then you cannot get it so in the
actual menu when you first play you're
just
the launch Bay you click on that you can
buy ships then you can play the game you
start off with the other one we're
starting off with a green one out
because I just like that one and i was
already cutting that one end official
later of the other ones later on tonight
but if you do not see the arrow or it's
grayed out or whatever you can't use it
boom so yeah so we're going to click
that one and then we're going to hit
play so we're going to try and avoid
well yeah I was thinking about avoiding
the plants but I was like plants really
don't damage anything also i'm going to
add some bubble effects so you can
actually be more in the middle of the
actual ships actually let's see if we do
that
I'm a mess up some things i'll see if i
can put that behind it when i select
that we're going to hit yeah he's like
right for these so these should be
turned invisible and again we're going
to put bubbles behind it and i know like
on an infinite runner or whatever you
don't like do this but this would kind
of make more interesting and then we can
actually add the option to where you
don't have to keep hitting the spacebar
to keep center you'll just have to weave
around stuff but yeah ok so we collected
remember we collected two gold coins I
can copy and paste those but let's get
straight to the code and then I'll
actually link some other items that you
can use for the subs and i will put the
file down below so on started layout
prevent auto rotate this stuff you can
you don't actually need at all plane and
these are for the planes that were in
the previous file but basically on start
of layout set animation default there
are some animations and it is the sub
getting destroyed but that's only when
you hit like so many rocks and there's
actually going to be a Hall meter now
I'm going to place over here or actually
right down below that it's going to say
hey you've reached the critical point
you need to pick up something to fix
your ship or your submarine hola
so that's the menu on left on left click
on the blue button set position so these
are just the spawners that are going to
spawn at the set a son so if I get the
blue plane we're just going to worry
about the ships on the yeah so it's
basically we're cloning at multiple
times so whenever you click on it it's
going to port the image back to a a
hidden area and then put a new one in a
new area in game yeah so this is its
ain't game position not actually
settling it we're still clicking on
these play on left click set position to
a hidden area let's see this is port so
click on that that's spotter and see
reporters I wish we had a search bar up
here
for it is right off screen so invisible
sit invisible time scale to one space
down set platform or why to green plane
platform so that's basically a yet so
that's it jumping because on this on
these guys will all we have make it I
nice it behaviors that you're going to
go to behaviors is platform so we can
jump that's all we have because it's not
the subs that move it's these plants
these plants are the ones that move the
good behaviors and we have rap and then
we also have custom movement okay so
what is overlapping the background so
when we're overlapping this head
background we're going to set a custom
movement or horizontal speed to minus
100 and then that's going to be also
from be for the beach
and then on collision with coins by 15
at one of the money set text of money
and then destroy the coin so it is kind
of simple and we're going to do our
health system tomorrow and then are
buying mini system and then I'll release
the game on newgrounds so you guys can
play around test it and then we're going
to do the same version but without the
ones where you have to keep hitting
spacebar it's literally a more of a
you're going you press up to go up you
go down to go down so it's more like
you're trying to avoid stuff this is
just like the like super premium hard
difficulty thing I'm going to put a the
download down below so you guys can play
with it mutated however you want comment

happen stuff that you want me to cover
what you've been thinking my tutorials
and if am i doing way too much stuff
because I don't think I'm doing way too
much stuff I think I just need more
