data systems and I will be showing you
how to inactivate a customer the topics
that we'll be covering today are the
reasons behind an activating customer
choosing an customer and setting them to
be active and then verifying out the
customers no longer
to begin with I'll go over the reason
behind an activated customer you would
want to inactivate customers in order to
fly customers who no longer place orders
or seasonal customers prevent them from
being used in data entry test while also
retain the customer history and
information I'll start the inactivation
process by going to the accounts
receivable module going to the customer
maintenance task and then choosing a
customer that we wish to inactivate this
example I'll be choosing the greater
large company soon activate we use knee
to click on the additional tab and then
click on the customer status drop-down
box and then select an actus we can also
list the reason why we were setting the
customer inactive but we will leave this
blank for now once that we verify that
everything is correct just click accept
in order to verify that our customers
indeed is inactive we can test this I go
into the invoice data entry creating a
new invoice and then when we try to
select that customer we notice there's a
pop-up window showing that the customer
is inactive and that cannot be used do
note that you cannot set customers to
inactive before the ones that have open
invoices or any open sales orders thank
