CadWorxLive Upgrade Visual Samples with Textures Video Lecture - CADWorx

hi i'm josh ellsworth with stahls TV and
this cadworx live tutorial we're going
to teach you how to upgrade your virtual
samples to sell more by utilizing
textures so in this case I have a design
already created in cadworx that I'm now
ready to export as an image to show to
the customer we've shown in other
tutorials how you can place this image
on a blank garment by importing that
blank garment image into cadworx now I
want to show you how you can upgrade
this finish by actually visualizing your
special effect that you intend to
decorate with so in this case I intend
to decorate the garment with our glitter
flake material from stalls and I'd like
to show that finish look to the customer
in order to do that all I'm going to do
is select the object that I wish to
apply the effect two and in this case
I'm going to grab both colors of pink by
holding the ctrl key and selecting those
both I need to group those together go
up to shaping and condense that way the
pink layer will read all is one for me
to do color changes to so rather than
selecting a color from the palette you
know these are all just standard colors
over here i'm going to double-click and
i'm going to click to change the color
within the editor itself which gives me
a lot more functionality to work with
gradients and textures so gradients are
beneficial for some other uses like
print cut or digital printing but
textures can be effective for heat
transfer film applications as well all
you need to do is import an image file
of the particular heat transfer film
that you're working with so i have some
different image files of glitter
material so i'll go back to that
fluorescent pink color click on it and
click OK to apply that click OK and it
will populate the glitter finish within
the design screen likewise I'd like to
do the center of the JM draw a box
around that to select that that will
click once again I'm going to change
change the fill color within the editor
go to texture and then I can grab the
silver color that I wish for that one to
be and click ok click OK again it will
apply that within my design screen I can
change the proportion of it by changing
the by going back in if for some reason
I want that texture to be smaller I can
actually take off the auto sighs and if
I think it's rendering too large I can
put it half scale click ok now that's a
better representation of what glitter
may look like so there's complete
ability to edit and customize the look
so you get a great visual representation
ultimately a virtual sample that sells
likewise you can drop any image into
here using the texture command so it
could be a photo of a twill like texture
if you're doing something out at will it
can be you may have noticed a pattern
like texture so let me show you that one
if I want to change the center of this
designed to a pattern all I need to do
is find that pattern you can click on
import to import all of your photos and
designs by browse let's just grab this
light blue chevron pattern select it as
my option click OK and it will drop it
right within my design and I can change
the different sizing elements as well
