where you are supposed to show mobile
device screen on a desktop maybe at the
time of demo or sharing updates with
others there are some paid tools
available in market which does the same
job however in this video I am going to
tell you about the free Android utility
which helps you projecting mobile screen
on the computer the name of the utility
is Android screen monitor Android screen
monitor or a s/m is an Android tool to
monitor mobile device screen on desktop
or laptop ASM is an ADB client which
when start monitoring screen connects to
ADB port on five zero three seven and
receives frame buffer continuously on
the device or emulator and transfer
images to the desktop screen ASM does
provide features like mobile screen
rotation screen sizing and image export
we will discuss about these features in
the last part of this tutorial before we
actually start with ASM let's first make
sure that we have Java and Android SDK
installed on machine we are going to use
if not then you should be able to
download them from their respective
websites and install on your local

environment variables for Java and
Android are set in user and system
variables as mentioned on screen now is
the time to connect Android mobile
device to your computer through USB in
order to recognize mobile device by the
machine you might have to install
android mobile USB driver if not already
done
now in mobile device go to settings
scroll down to select on developer
options select USB debugging option is
selected on my mobile phone you would
also like to select stay-awake option to
restrict your mobile from locking during
use just to make sure everything is set
correctly on your computer go to command
prompt and then type adb devices this
will show you android device ID if all
the above settings are set correctly
Android screen monitor utility can be
downloaded from the link mentioned on
the screen download the zip file and
unzip on your local machine you should
see a SM dot jar after the file is
extracted we are only a step away from
projecting mobile device screen on a
computer now that you have a SM dot jar
file saved on your local folder let's
again open command prompt on the
computer and navigate to the folder
where a SM dot jar file is placed once
you are in the folder type the command
Java space hyphen JA space a SM dot jar
it will pop up a window with the details
of Android devices connected to your
computer select the device you want to
see on the computer and it will launch
the mobile device screen on the computer
monitor you can now observe all the
actions on your computer monitor that
you perform on android mobile device
like in this case we can see I am
navigating to a different pages of eBay
mobile application

few but sufficient features to display

changing mobile window orientation to
