of writing your book maybe you haven't
even started
maybe you've started but you don't know
how to finish maybe you don't even know
where to start
or in the next few days I'm going to be
showing you exactly where to start how
to create a plan how to find the time to
write because I know that's going to be
a big roadblock but first day one I'm
going to focus on an exercise that's
really going to help you and this
exercise is essential to your success
and becoming an author and finishing
that book to share with the world
because I know that's what you want
that's what I wanted five years ago when
I wrote my first book what success takes
okay what success takes my second book
the trust factor and my third book how
to write a book ASAP probably one that
you were interested in that you can
learn more about at the end of this
video and an upcoming book that I
contributed to with Brian Tracy called
the secret to winning big so I've been
in your shoes I know what it's like to
not know where to start or not know how
to continue or not know how to finish so
here's an exercise today that will help
you in today's video and what I want you
to do is I want you to write down three
reasons to why you want to write your
book this is so important that you start
with your why that you know exactly why
it is that you
right that book so three reasons write
them down my piece of paper on your
computer wherever you want to start
taking notes over the next 30 days write
these three reasons down that you want
to write that book now this is going to
help motivate you and help you stay
motivated throughout the writing process
because it's not an easy process but if
you have a plan and you know why that
you want to write that book then it's
going to help you get through that so
here are my three reasons why I wrote my
first book what success takes the first
reason is it was on my bucket list it
was something that I wanted to
accomplish a goal that I so badly wanted
and the second reason is a little bit
selfish but I wanted to say that I was
an author I wanted to tell my family and
friends and and neighbors and everybody
that I was an author not to be prideful
just to have that opportunity to say hey
I wrote a book the third reason another
selfish one but that's fine I wanted to
be a speaker I wanted to speak up on
stage with very successful people and
what I found is lots of speakers were
also authors I saw a trend so that was
the three reasons hey guess what I
finished my book those three reasons
helped me motivate me to finish my first
book what success takes and I got to
mark it off my bucket list I got to say
that I was an author and I got to speak
up on stage with successful people over
the last five years because of that book
so write down your three reasons also
