let Bh = Bh1cos alpha. Bv= Bv1
Now
new dip angel will be
tan y = Bh/ Bv
= Bh1 cosalpha / Bv1
= tanx cos alpha. ( bcoz Bh1/Bv1)
So,
tany /tanx = cos alpha
