Which is heaviest particle=electron, proton ,neutron ,a particle?
**Heaviest Particle: The Neutron**

**Introduction:**

In the realm of subatomic particles, there are three basic constituents of an atom: electrons, protons, and neutrons. While electrons are negatively charged and protons are positively charged, neutrons are electrically neutral. When it comes to determining the heaviest particle among these three, the neutron takes the crown. Let's delve into the details to understand why the neutron is the heaviest particle.

**1. Mass of the Electron:**

The electron is the lightest among the three particles. Its mass is approximately 9.10938356 x 10^-31 kilograms (kg). The electron orbits around the nucleus in an atom and contributes significantly to the atom's size.

**2. Mass of the Proton:**

Protons are positively charged particles found in the atomic nucleus. They have a mass of approximately 1.6726219 x 10^-27 kg. Protons are commonly used to identify different elements, as the number of protons in an atom's nucleus determines the atomic number.

**3. Mass of the Neutron:**

The neutron, while similar in mass to a proton, is slightly heavier. It has a mass of approximately 1.674927498 x 10^-27 kg. Neutrons also reside in the atomic nucleus and play a crucial role in stabilizing the nucleus by counteracting the repulsive forces between positively charged protons.

**Comparison:**

Considering the masses of these particles, we can conclude that the neutron is the heaviest among them. Here is a comparison of their masses:

- Neutron: Approximately 1.674927498 x 10^-27 kg
- Proton: Approximately 1.6726219 x 10^-27 kg
- Electron: Approximately 9.10938356 x 10^-31 kg

As we can see, the mass of the neutron is several orders of magnitude higher than that of the electron, and slightly higher than that of the proton.

**Conclusion:**

In summary, the neutron is the heaviest among the electron, proton, and neutron trio. While electrons are significantly lighter and orbit around the nucleus, protons and neutrons reside in the nucleus. The neutron's slightly higher mass compared to the proton makes it the heaviest particle. Understanding the masses of these subatomic particles is crucial in comprehending the structure and properties of atoms and their role in various fields of science.
