1st method, let, length = x
base = y
area = xy
increased length = 11x/10
base = xy10/11x = y10/11
so, base decreased by = (y-(10y/11))100/y
= 9 1/11 % Ans.
2nd method, 10 - y +10y/100 = 0
10 - y +y/10 = 0
10 - 11y/10 = 0
11y/10 = 10
y = 100/11 = 9 1/11%
3rd method .... it's secret :-)

Let length = l and breadth = b.
Let, new breadth = x
Then, (110% of l)*x = lb
=> 110/100 lx = lb
=>x = 10/11 b
Decrease in breadth = [(b - 10/11 b)*1/b*100]%
=100/11%

Hence option B
