A figure accompanying a data sufficiency question will conform to the information given in the question but will not necessarily conform to the additional information given in statements (1) and (2).
Lines shown as straight can be assumed to be straight and lines that appear jagged can also be assumed to be straight.
You may assume that the positions of points, angles, regions, etc. exist in the order shown and that angle measures are greater than zero.

STATEMENT 1:
The common difference of the sequence is 4.
So, x could either be 3 or 27.
We are not able to find a UNIQUE value for x from statement 1.
Statement 1 ALONE is NOT sufficient.
Eliminate choices A and D. Choices narrow down to B, C or E.

STATEMENT 2:
x could be any prime number. There are infinite possibilities.
We are not able to find a UNIQUE value for x from statement 1.
Statement 2 ALONE is NOT sufficient.
Eliminate choice B. Choices narrow down to C or E
 
From statement 1 we have narrowed down the values that could take to 3 or 27;
From statement 2 we know that x is prime.
3 is the only value that satisfies both the conditions.
Statements TOGETHER are SUFFICIENT.
Choice C is the answer.

Understanding the Problem
We need to find the value of x in the set S = {7, 11, 15, 19, 23, x}.
Statement Analysis
Statement 1: The elements are in arithmetic progression.
- The common difference can be calculated between the known elements:
- 11 - 7 = 4
- 15 - 11 = 4
- 19 - 15 = 4
- 23 - 19 = 4
- The common difference is 4, thus the next term after 23 can be calculated as:
- x = 23 + 4 = 27.
This statement alone is sufficient.
Statement 2: x is prime.
- The prime numbers greater than 23 include: 29, 31, 37, etc.
- Since there are multiple prime numbers greater than 23, we cannot determine a unique value for x from this statement alone.
This statement alone is not sufficient.
Combining Statements 1 and 2
- From Statement 1, we found that x = 27, which is not a prime number.
- However, if we consider Statement 2 in conjunction with Statement 1, we realize that the only prime candidate in the context of the arithmetic sequence must fit the arithmetic progression established in Statement 1.
Since the only conclusion from both statements leads to a conclusion that x must be prime and in line with the arithmetic progression, we can deduce that both statements together lead to a unique conclusion about x.
Conclusion
- Thus, both statements together are sufficient to determine the value of x, but neither statement alone is sufficient.
The correct answer is option 'C'.
