Hitler's Foreign Policy

Introduction
Adolf Hitler, the leader of Nazi Germany, had a foreign policy that aimed to expand the country's territory and create a dominant position in Europe. Hitler's foreign policy was characterized by aggressive expansionism and militarism.

Expansionism
Hitler's foreign policy was centered around the idea of Lebensraum or "living space" for the German people. He believed that Germany needed to expand its territory to accommodate its growing population and secure resources. Hitler's expansionist policies led to the annexation of Austria, Sudetenland, and Czechoslovakia. He also demanded that Poland return the city of Danzig and cede territory to Germany.

Militarism
Hitler believed in the superiority of the German military and sought to expand its power. He increased military spending and began to rearm Germany, in violation of the Treaty of Versailles. Hitler also created a secret military force, the Waffen-SS, which was used to carry out his expansionist policies.

Alliance Building
Hitler sought to build alliances with other countries that shared his anti-communist and anti-Semitic views. He formed the Axis powers alliance with Italy and Japan in 1940. This alliance was aimed at countering the influence of the Soviet Union and the United States.

Conclusion
Hitler's foreign policy was marked by aggressive expansionism, militarism, and alliance building. His policies ultimately led to the outbreak of World War II and the devastation of Europe.
