His claim is enforceable because according to Indian contract act 1872 if the terms of contract are such that the promise contained in the contract has to be performed by the promisor himself then it must be performed by him only.If not then promisor or his representative can hire a person to perform the contract.The contract involving personal skills are the ones that become void on death of promisor as they are need to be performed by promisor himself.eg.. if a promised to create painting for b for certain price but died before he could paint it,the contract would be void.
