Given

Let the breadth of the rectangle be b units
- So, Length = b + 2 units
Diagonal = 10 units

To Find: Perimeter

Approach & Working out

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2[b + (b+2)] = 2(2b+2) = 4(b+1)
So, to find the perimeter, we need to know the value of b
1. We’ll use Pythagoras Theorem on the diagonal, breadth and length of the rectangle to find the value of b

Finding the value of b:

(b+8)(b-6) = 0
b = 6 or -8
- Rejecting the negative value since length/breadth cannot be negative.
So b = 6
Finding the Perimeter:
- Perimeter =4(b+1) = 4(6+1) = 4*7 = 28 units

Thus, the correct answer is Option C.
