Nelson Mandela was the first Black president of South Africa who played the major role in abolishing apartheid.
HIS VIEWS FOR FREEDOM:-
As a young boy for him, freedom was to run in the fields near his mother's hut and to swim in the streams. When he was a student he wanted freedom of only himself. He wanted to stay out at night and go wherever he wanted .It was only when he was a young man he knew the meaning of freedom. He realized that freedom had been taken away from him.He came to know that it was not only his freedom but the freedom of everyone them had been away from them. Then he joined ANC and his hunger for freedom became the greater hunger of freedom of the people of South Africa.
HIS VIEWS FOR OPPRESSOR AND OPPRESSED:-

He thought that the oppressor must be freed just as surely the oppressed. According to him a man who takes away another man's freedom is a prisoner of hatred and the oppressed and the oppressor alike are robbed of their humanity.
Hope it helps you.
