Explain the functions of state legislature?
The function of a state's legislature is to draft and pass laws that apply to that state. The Federal and State government all have 3 levels of government.
1. Executive 2. Legislative 3. Judicial. The Executive branch of the government signs off on laws and carries them out. The legislative branch drafts and creates the laws. The judicial branch upholds and enforces those laws.

Functions of State Legislature:

- Impeachment: State legislatures have the power to impeach state officials, including governors and judges, for misconduct or abuse of power. This serves as a mechanism for holding elected officials accountable for their actions.
