Four years ago, the average age of Suresh and Ramesh was 36. The avera...
Let assume current age of Suresh, Ramesh and Mahesh as x, y and z respectively,
For the sum of the age of Suresh and Ramesh,
[(x - 4) + (y - 4)]/2 = 36
⇒ x + y - 8 = 72
⇒ x + y = 80      ----(I)
From the data given in the question,
⇒ [x + y + z]/3 = 40
⇒ x + y + z = 120
Substitute the value of Eq(I) in above equation,
⇒ 80 + z = 120
⇒ z = 120 - 80 = 40
∴ Age of Mahesh after 7 years = 40 + 7 = 47 years
