Verified Answer
Two circles x2 + y2 = 6 and x2 + y2 – 6x + 8 = 0 are given. Then...
The circle through points of intersection of the two circles x2 + y2 – 6 = 0
and  x2 + y2 – 6x + 8 = 0
 is (x2 + y2 – 6) + l (x2 + y2 – 6x + 8) = 0
As it passes through (1, 1) (1 + 1 – 6) + l (1 + 1 – 6 + 8) = 0  ⇒
∴ The required circle is 2x2 + 2y2 – 6x + 2 = 0
or,    x2 + y2 – 3x + 1 = 0
