Verified Answer
The average weight of four boys A, B, C, and D is 75 kg. The fifth boy...
Sum of the weight of A, B, C and D = 75 × 4 = 300 kg
and average weight of A, B, C, D and E = 71 kg
sum of the weight of A, B, C, D and E
= 71 × 5 = 355 kg
weight of E = 355 – 300 = 55 kg
weight of F = 55 + 6 = 61 kg
Now, average weight of F, B, C, D and E = 72 kg
Sum of the weight of F, B, C, D and E = 72 × 5 = 360 kg
B + C + D = 360 – 55 – 61 = 244 kg.
Weight of A = 300 – 244 = 56 kg.

The average weight of four boys A, B, C, and D is 75 kg. The fifth boy...
Given Information:
● Average weight of four boys A, B, C, and D is 75 kg.
● The fifth boy E is included and the average weight decreases by 4 kg.
● A is replaced by F.
● The weight of F is 6 kg more than E.
● Average weight decreases because of the replacement of A and now the average weight is 72 kg.

To Find: Weight of A.

Solution:
Let's begin by finding the total weight of the five boys A, B, C, D, and E.
● Total weight of A, B, C, and D = 75 * 4 = 300 kg (as the average weight of four boys is 75 kg)
● Let's assume the weight of E as x kg.
●Total weight of A, B, C, D, and E = 300 + x kg (as E is the fifth boy)

Now, the average weight decreases by 4 kg when E is included. Therefore,
(300 + x)/5 = 75 - 4
=> (300 + x)/5 = 71

Solving the above equation, we get x = 55 kg (the weight of E)
We know that F's weight is 6 kg more than E's weight. Therefore, F's weight = 55 + 6 = 61 kg.

Now, the average weight decreases by replacing A with F. Therefore,
(300 - A + F)/5 = 72
Substituting the value of F, we get
(300 - A + 61)/5 = 72
=> 361 - A = 360
=> A = 361 - 360 = 1 kg

Therefore, the weight of A is 1 kg.

Hence, the correct answer is option (c) 56 kg.
