Verified Answer
In a group of six employees, an employee having a salary of Rs. 30,000...
As average salary decreased by Rs. 2,000 for 6 members,
Total decrease in salary = 2000 x 6 = Rs. 12,000
Salary of the new employee = Salary of the person who left - total decrease in salary = 30000 - 12000 = Rs. 18,000
Hence, option 3.

In a group of six employees, an employee having a salary of Rs. 30,000...
Given information:
- There were six employees in the company.
- One employee left with a salary of Rs. 30,000.
- A new employee replaced the old one.
- The average salary of the six employees decreased by Rs. 2,000.

To find:
- Salary of the new employee.

Solution:
Let the sum of salaries of the five remaining employees be x.
So, the average salary of the six employees before the old employee left was x/6.
After the old employee left, the sum of salaries of the remaining five employees was x - 30,000.
And the average salary of the six employees became (x - 30,000)/6.
We are given that the new average salary is 2,000 less than the previous average salary, so we can write:

(x/6) - 2,000 = (x - 30,000)/6

Multiplying both sides by 6, we get:

x - 12,000 = x - 30,000

Solving for x, we get:

x = 18,000

So, the sum of salaries of the five remaining employees is Rs. 18,000.
Since the average salary of the six employees after the new employee joined is still Rs. 16,000, we can find the salary of the new employee by subtracting the sum of salaries of the five remaining employees from the total:

Salary of new employee = Total salary - Sum of salaries of remaining employees
Salary of new employee = (6 x 16,000) - 18,000
Salary of new employee = Rs. 18,000

Therefore, the salary of the new employee is Rs. 18,000.

In a group of six employees, an employee having a salary of Rs. 30,000...
Let six persons be a , b ,c d e f..and avg salary be S
(a+b+c+d+e+f )/6 =S
which gives a+b+c+d+e+f = 6S..
And F is the leaving person here..
making an equation a+b+c+d+e = 6S - 30000 (f's salary)

now, the second one

(a+b+c+d+e+f)/6 = S - 2000
put a+b+c+d+e = 6S - 30000 here in the equation

then answer will be 18000
