Given information:
- Ratio of division: 3 : 5 : 7
- Amount received by R = Amount received by T + Rs. 4,000

Solution:
Let the common ratio be x. So, the amounts received by P, T, and R will be 3x, 5x, and 7x respectively.
Given that:
7x = 5x + 4,000
2x = 4,000
x = 2,000
Therefore, the amounts received by P, T, and R are:
P = 3 * 2,000 = Rs. 6,000
T = 5 * 2,000 = Rs. 10,000
R = 7 * 2,000 = Rs. 14,000

Total amount received by P and T together:
P + T = Rs. 6,000 + Rs. 10,000 = Rs. 16,000
Therefore, the correct answer is option C) Rs. 16,000.
