Marked price of an article is Rs. 500. The shopkeeper sells the articl...
Given:
Marked price of the article = Rs. 500

Discounts given by the first shopkeeper:
First discount = 15%
Second discount = 10%

Discounts given by the second shopkeeper:
First discount = 9%
Second discount = 16%

To find:
From which shopkeeper the customer will get more benefit?

Solution:

First Shopkeeper:
First discount = 15%
So, the selling price after the first discount = Marked price - (15% of Marked price)
= 500 - (15/100 * 500)
= 500 - (75)
= 425

Second discount = 10%
So, the selling price after the second discount = Selling price after the first discount - (10% of Selling price after the first discount)
= 425 - (10/100 * 425)
= 425 - (42.5)
= 382.5

Second Shopkeeper:
First discount = 9%
So, the selling price after the first discount = Marked price - (9% of Marked price)
= 500 - (9/100 * 500)
= 500 - (45)
= 455

Second discount = 16%
So, the selling price after the second discount = Selling price after the first discount - (16% of Selling price after the first discount)
= 455 - (16/100 * 455)
= 455 - (72.8)
= 382.2

Conclusion:
The selling price from the first shopkeeper = Rs. 382.5
The selling price from the second shopkeeper = Rs. 382.2

Therefore, the customer will get more benefit from the second shopkeeper as the selling price is slightly lower compared to the first shopkeeper.
