Calculate the output frequency of a half – wave rectifier, if we will ...
50Hz is the input frequency.

We know that, for a half-wave rectifier the output frequency is equal to the input frequency.

Therefore, output frequency is 50Hz.

Whereas in full-wave rectifier, the output frequency is double the input frequency.

Therefore, output frequency = 2 × 50 = 100 Hz

Half-Wave Rectifier:
A half-wave rectifier is a circuit that converts an AC input voltage into a pulsating DC output voltage. It uses a single diode to allow current flow in only one direction.

Output Frequency:
The output frequency of a half-wave rectifier is the same as the input frequency. In this case, the input frequency is 50 Hz, so the output frequency will also be 50 Hz.

Full-Wave Rectifier:
A full-wave rectifier is a circuit that converts an AC input voltage into a DC output voltage. It uses a bridge rectifier configuration with four diodes to allow current flow in both directions.

Output Frequency:
The output frequency of a full-wave rectifier is twice the input frequency. This is because the rectifier uses both the positive and negative halves of the input waveform.

When the positive half of the input waveform is applied, the diodes conduct and allow current flow in one direction. When the negative half of the input waveform is applied, the diodes conduct and allow current flow in the opposite direction. As a result, the output waveform consists of both positive and negative half cycles.

Since the input frequency is 50 Hz, the output frequency of a full-wave rectifier will be 2 times 50 Hz, which is 100 Hz.

Summary:
- The output frequency of a half-wave rectifier is the same as the input frequency, which is 50 Hz in this case.
- The output frequency of a full-wave rectifier is twice the input frequency, so it will be 100 Hz when the input frequency is 50 Hz.
