Given:
Temperature coefficient of resistance (α) = 0.00125/C
Resistance at 300K (R1) = 1 ohm
Resistance at unknown temperature (R2) = 2 ohm

To find: Temperature at which the resistance becomes 2 ohm

Formula used: R2 = R1(1 + αΔT)

Where ΔT is the change in temperature in Celsius

Solution:
Let's assume the temperature at which resistance becomes 2 ohm be T.

R2 = R1(1 + αΔT)

2 = 1(1 + 0.00125ΔT)

2 = 1 + 0.00125ΔT

0.00125ΔT = 1

ΔT = 1/0.00125 = 800

Temperature at which the resistance becomes 2 ohm = 300 + ΔT = 300 + 800 = 1100K

Therefore, the correct answer is option D, i.e., 1127K.
