    Ionisation energy of H-atom in the ground state is 25 times the ionisa...
    Explanation:

    Ionisation energy: The energy required to remove an electron completely from an atom or a positive ion is called the ionisation energy.

    Let the ionisation energy of hydrogen when it is in the ground state be E1.

    Let the ionisation energy of hydrogen when it is in the nth state be En.

    We know that the energy of an electron in the nth state of hydrogen is given by

    En = -13.6/n² eV

    Therefore, the ionisation energy of hydrogen when it is in the nth state is given by

    En = E1/n²

    We are given that the ionisation energy of hydrogen when it is in the ground state is 25 times the ionisation energy when it is in the nth state.

    Therefore,

    E1 = 25 En

    Substituting the value of En in terms of E1, we get

    E1 = 25 E1/n²

    n² = 25

    n = 5

    Therefore, the value of n is 5.

    Answer: 5.
