His real name was Fakhruddin Jauna but after his father's death, he came to the throne of Delhi as Muhammad bin Tugluq. He was known for his bad temper. He was a man who didn't got the support of his subjects. He was always in a confusing mode and change his statements very quickly. And due to this,it was very difficult for his subjects to predict his present intentions. At a time, he had thought to change his capital from Delhi to Devagiri as it was a central place to rule his sultanate and protected place from the Mongol invasion, but instead of changing his capital only,he ordered the people of that area to move! obviously, the people didn't agreed to leave their home, but they were seized by the guards and soldiers of the king, and they all march a long way to Devagiri. But after some time, Muhammad bin Tugluq realised that it is not comfortable to rule from Devagiri, so he ordered again the people to move from that place causing many more deaths on the way. By this incident, the people were even more unpleased with him and didn't support him at all till his death. After his death,Firoz shah Tugluq, cousin of muhammad, came to the throne of Delhi.
