AUTHOR OF RAMAYAN:
The sanskrit Ramayan is written by Maharishi Valmiki.He had divided it into two parts: Ramayan and Uttar Ramayan another part of it.
Once,Narada muni came to his ashram and asked him to write the whole story of lord Ram in metrical way.
Next time,lord Brahama came to him and told him that he can write the story of goddess Sita before the event will happen.And when Sita left the palace,and came to the forest,she met rishi Valmiki there.Then onwards she had taken shelter in his ashram.And then born two twin children to Sita, named Luva and Kush. Rishi Valmiki was also known as the guruji or teacher of Luva-Kush who trained them as warriors.
Later, Goswami Tulsidas had written the same story of Ramayan in Awadhi,but the difference was that,he feel so bad by the last part of it ,uttar kand, as it was not a happy ending. So,He wrote the whole story but ends it at the Rajya abhishek of Ram after van gaman.Later the Ramayan was written in many languages:in Telugu,Kannada,Marathi, etc...and we got a chance of reading it in our own languages.

AUTHOR OF THE LEGENDARY BHAGWAT GITA:
The Shrimad Bhagwat Gita is narrated by Lord Shri Krishna, about the truths related to life. It consists of 18 chapters and 700 verses, which contain answers to questions related to life like karma, dharma, karma, birth, death, truth, untruth etc.
God says that I first gave this knowledge to Lord Surya. After the Sun, the Guru proceeded by tradition. But now it is endangered. Now I am going to tell you the same knowledge. Arjun says that you were born recently, so how did you say this to Surya? Then Shri Bhagavan has said that you and I have had many births, but you do not remember,I remember that births...
Then, he narrates this verse to make Arjuna aware of his truth ... If you have read the fourth chapter of Bhagavad Gita, you must remember this, which is one of the main verses of the
"यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत।
अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम्

„“

परित्राणाय साधूनां विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम् ।
धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय सम्भवामि युगे युगे..."

Shri Krishna says that when there is loss of religion and increase of unrighteousness, then I create my form. To protect the sadhus, to destroy the evil-doers, to establish religion, I incarnate as a human in the ages.
Shri Krishna narrates the Gita verses to Arjuna at a time when Arjuna refuses to fight during the war of Mahabharata, then Shri Krishna narrates the Geeta verses to Arjuna and reveals the true knowledge of Karma and Dharma. These teachings of Shri Krishna have been compiled in a book called "Bhagavad Gita" that was probably written by Maharishi Ved Vyas.
