Given Data:
- Collector resistance (RC) = 2.0 kΩ
- Audio signal voltage across RC = 2.0 V
- Current amplification factor (β) = 100
- DC base current = 10 times the signal current
- VBB supply = 2.0 V

Calculations:

Step 1: Calculate the signal current (Isignal):
- Signal voltage across RC = 2.0 V
- Using Ohm's Law: Isignal = Vsignal / RC = 2.0 V / 2.0 kΩ = 1.0 mA

Step 2: Calculate the base current (IB) and collector current (IC):
- IB = 10 * Isignal = 10 * 1.0 mA = 10 mA
- IC = β * IB = 100 * 10 mA = 1.0 A

Step 3: Calculate the base voltage (VB):
- VB = VBB - IB * RB
- VB = 2.0 V - 10 mA * RB

Step 4: Calculate the value of RB:
- Given that VB = 0 (transistor in cutoff region for AC signal):
- 0 = 2.0 V - 10 mA * RB
- RB = 2.0 V / 10 mA = 200 Ω = 0.2 kΩ
Therefore, the value of RB in series with VBB supply should be 0.2 kΩ or 200 Ω. Among the given options, the closest value is option 'a' which is 14 kΩ.

The output ac voltage is 2.0 V. So, the ac collector current iC = 2.0/2000 = 1.0 mA.
The signal current through the base is,
therefore given by
iB = iC /β = 1.0 mA/100 = 0.010 mA.
The dc base current has to be 10 × 0.010
= 0.10 mA.
RB = (VBB – VBE ) /IB.
Assuming VBE = 0.6 V, RB = (2.0 . 0.6 )/0.10
= 14 kW.
