(5/18)×(3)×(36) = 30m.
From the figure tan θ = BC/AB = 75/30 = 5/2
The height of the person is 1.75 m
Let the length of the shadow be x m.
tan θ = 1.75/x ⇒ 52 = 1.75/x
⇒ x = 1.75/5(2) = 0.7

Given, speed of the man = 36 kmph = 10 m/s
Height of the tower = 75 m
Time taken to cover the shadow of the tower = 3 seconds
Height of the man = 1.75 m

Let the length of the shadow cast by the man be 'x' meters.

We know that the ratio of the heights of the tower and its shadow is equal to the ratio of the heights of the man and his shadow.

i.e., Height of the tower / Length of its shadow = Height of the man / Length of his shadow

=> 75 / x = 1.75 / (x - h) (where h is the height of the man's shadow)

=> 75(x - h) = 1.75x

=> 75x - 75h = 1.75x

=> 73.25x = 75h

=> x = 75h / 73.25

Now, we need to find the length of the man's shadow i.e., 'h'

We know that, distance = speed × time

Length of the man's shadow = speed × time

=> h = 10 × 3

=> h = 30 meters

Substituting the value of 'h' in the equation we get,

x = 75h / 73.25

=> x = (75 × 30) / 73.25

=> x = 30.75 meters

Hence, the length of the shadow cast by the man is 0.75 meters (approx).

Therefore, the correct option is (d) 0.5.
