Directions: Read the following information carefully and answer the q...
Number of participants from four colleges is different and the maximum number of participants from a college is four therefore the only possible distribution of students among the three colleges is (4,3,2) in any order.
B is from XYZ college and E belongs to MNP which does not have maximum participation.
Both J and H can be either in MNP or RST as B,D,J are from different colleges. J and H cannot be in MNP because MNP can have 3 or 2 students and A is from college which has neither maximum nor minimum participant ,if MNP has 3 students then A must also be from MNP which is not possible if J and H are in MNP. Therefore, J and H are from RST.D is from MNP. C and G cannot be with MNP. If C and G are from RST, no. of participants from RST will be 4 but F is from college with maximum participant thus C and G are from XYZ.
So, there are only two possible cases:

Given Information:
- There are nine students - A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J.
- The students are from three different colleges - XYZ, MNP, RST.
- The maximum number of participants from a college is four.
- C and G are from the same college.
- B, D, J are from different colleges.
- F is in the college which has the maximum number of participants.
- E belongs to MNP, which does not have the maximum participation.
- H and J are from the same college.
- A is from the college which has neither the maximum nor the minimum number of participants.
- B is from XYZ college.

Solution:
Based on the given information, we can deduce the following:

College XYZ:
- Since B is from XYZ college, and B, D, and J are from different colleges, it means that D and J cannot be from XYZ college.
- Therefore, the remaining students from XYZ college are A and B.

College MNP:
- E belongs to MNP college, which does not have the maximum participation.
- Therefore, the maximum number of participants from MNP college cannot be four.
- Since the maximum number of participants from a college is four, E cannot be from MNP college.
- Hence, E cannot be the winner from MNP college.

College RST:
- From the given information, we know that C and G are from the same college, and H and J are from the same college.
- Since B, D, and J are from different colleges, and B is from XYZ, it means that D and J cannot be from RST college.
- Therefore, C and G are from RST college.
- Since F is in the college with the maximum number of participants, and E cannot be from MNP college, it means that F is from RST college.
- Hence, the remaining students from RST college are C, F, and G.

Winner:
- From the above deductions, we know that the winner is from college XYZ.
- The only students left from college XYZ are A and B.
- Therefore, the winner can be either A or B.

Conclusion:
Based on the given information, the winner of the debate competition, who is from college XYZ, can be either A or B.
