Initially the voltage gain of the amplifier is 100 i.e. A = 100.
Then a negative feedback is applied to the amplifier where the gain of the feedback loop is given as β = 0.04
Now the overall gain of the negative feedback amplifier is given as, = A/(1+Aβ)

Solution:

Given, voltage gain of an amplifier = 100

Negative feedback is applied with β = 0.04

Overall gain of the amplifier = ?

Using the formula for overall gain with negative feedback:

A = A0 / (1 + A0β)

Where A0 = voltage gain without feedback

β = feedback factor

Substituting the given values,

A = 100 / (1 + 100 × 0.04)

= 100 / 5

= 20

Therefore, the overall gain of the amplifier is 20.
