So the difference between the number of permanent and temporary employees in Karnataka = 0.24 × 0.7k - 0.24 × 0.3 = 0.096k
Required number of permanent employees in Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh together
= 2000 × (0.22 × 0.3 + 0.16 × 0.6) = 324.
