A solid metallic cylinder of radius 12 cm and height 175 cm is melted ...
From given question
Here r1 = 12 cm
h1 = 175 cm
r2 = ?
h2 = 63 cm
Volume of c1 = Volume of c2
πr12 h1 = πr22 h2
122 × 175 = r22 × 63
∴ r2 = 20
So the radius of new cylinder is 20 cm.
