Most Upvoted Answer
Study the following information carefully and answer the given questi...
Let the quantity of milk and water in the taken-out mixture be 5x litres and 3x litres respectively
Statement I:
According to the question,
(0.4 × 5x + 6) – (0.4 × 3x) = 10
x = 4/0.8 = 5
Therefore, total quantity of mixture A = 8x = 40 litres.
So, data in statement I alone is sufficient to answer the question.
Statement II:
Quantity of water in 64 litres of the mixture = 64 × 3/8 = 24 litres
Quantity of water in initial mixture = 24 + 72 = 96 litres
Therefore, total quantity of mixture = 96 × 8/3 = 256 litres.
So, data in statement II alone is sufficient to answer the question.
Therefore, data either in statement I alone or in statement II alone are sufficient to answer the question.
