The only important point is visualization that we end up having a rhombus. We can see there are two triangles DAB and DBC. Total Area is Area of DAB + Area of DBC.
Angle OAD = Angle ADC = 45˚ (Alternate angles of ║lines)
OD = AD Sin 45˚
⇒ AD = d√2
Area of Triangle DAB
(all sides of rhombus are equal)
Area of Triangle DCB can be found by similar way and comes out to be equal to area of Triangle DAB
