So, 2x + (3x/5) + x = 18/25
⇒ (10x + 3x + 5x)/5 = 18/25
⇒ 18x/5 = 18/25
⇒ 450x = 90
⇒ x = 90/450
⇒ x = 1/5
Raman’s share is 1/5
Arun’s share is 2/5
Ram’s share is 3/25
New ratio of Arun, Varun, Ram and Raman = 2/5 ∶ 7/25 ∶ 3/25 ∶ 1/5
i.e. Ratio = 10 ∶ 7 ∶ 3 ∶ 5
