Directions: Study the following information carefully and answers the...
Person X invested in Project P Rs. 12,000 for 6 months.
Person Y invested in Project P Rs. 10,800 for 9 months.
Person Z invested in Project P Rs. 9600 for 12 months.
Then, the profit sharing ratio of X, Y and Z respectively are,
= (12,000 × 6) : (10,800 × 9) : (9600 × 12)
= (10 × 6) : (9 × 9) : (8 × 12)
= 20 : 27 : 32 (Total = 20 + 27 + 32 ⇒79
So, the profit earned by X is = Rs. 13,193 × 20/79 ⇒ Rs. 3340
The profit earned by Y is = Rs. 13,193 × 27/79 ⇒ Rs. 4509
The profit earned by Z is = Rs. 13,193 × 32/79 ⇒ Rs. 5344
Thus, the difference between the profit is = (3340 + 4509) – 5344
= 7849 – 5344 ⇒ Rs. 2505
Hence, the required answer is = Rs. 2505.
