Two persons, Pawan and Shyam together can complete a piece of work in...
Given
Pawan + Shyam = 50 days
Pawan = 0.25 × shyam (Efficiency)
Let the efficiency of Shyam = 4x
⇒ The efficiency of Pawan = 125% of 4x = 5x
⇒ Work done by them in 50 days = (4x + 5x) × 50
⇒ 450x units
Quantity I: Pawan’s original efficiency = 5x
⇒ 20% of 5x = 1x
⇒ 1/5 of work =( ⅕)× 450x
⇒ ⅕ of work = 90x
⇒ The number of days, it will complete at 20% of his efficiency.
⇒ (90/1) = 90 days
Quantity II: Shyam's original efficiency = 4x
50% of 4x = 2x
⇒ Half of work = 450x /2
⇒ Half of work = 225x
⇒ The number of days Q will take to do half of the work at 50% of his efficiency.
⇒ (225x / 2x)= 112.5 days
∴ Quantity I < quantity="" />
