The formula mass of Mohr's salt is given as 392.

Oxidation of iron by KMnO4
When iron is oxidized by KMnO4 in acidic medium, the following reaction takes place:
5Fe2+ + MnO4- + 8H+ → 5Fe3+ + Mn2+ + 4H2O

Equivalent mass of Mohr's salt
The equivalent mass of a substance is defined as the mass of the substance that combines with or displaces one mole of hydrogen ions (H+) or any other ion or group of ions that can be exchanged in a reaction.

Since Mohr's salt is a ferrous salt, it can be oxidized to ferric salt by KMnO4 in acidic medium. As per the above equation, 5 moles of Fe2+ react with one mole of MnO4-. Therefore, the equivalent mass of Mohr's salt can be calculated as follows:

Equivalent mass = Formula mass / n

where n is the number of moles of electrons gained or lost by the substance in a redox reaction.

In the given reaction, Fe2+ is oxidized to Fe3+ by losing one electron. Therefore, n = 1.

Hence, equivalent mass of Mohr's salt = 392 / 1 = 392.

Therefore, the correct answer is option 'A'.
