IBPS Clerk Exam: Educational Qualification Requirements

To appear for the IBPS Clerk Exam, candidates must fulfill certain educational qualification requirements. These requirements are set by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) and are applicable to all candidates who wish to apply for the Clerk position in participating banks.

1. Nationality:
Candidates must be either:
- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan

- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

2. Age Limit:
The age limit for candidates applying for the IBPS Clerk Exam is between 20 and 28 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government rules.

3. Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess a minimum educational qualification of a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The degree should be completed on or before the specified date mentioned in the official notification.

4. Computer Literacy:
Candidates must have proficiency in computer operations and should possess a valid certificate in computer operations or should have studied Computer Science/Information Technology as one of the subjects in their high school/college/university.

5. Language Proficiency:
Candidates must be proficient in the official language of the state/UT for which they are applying. They should be able to read, write, and speak the language fluently.

6. Document Verification:
Candidates who qualify for the IBPS Clerk Exam will be required to produce all the necessary documents/certificates in original and photocopies for verification at the time of the interview/admission process.
