- Flying Branch: Candidates should be between 20 and 24 years of age as of 1st January of the year of examination.
- Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical Branch): Candidates should be between 20 and 26 years of age as of 1st January of the year of examination.

3. Nationality:
Candidates must be Indian citizens. Those who are subjects of Bhutan, Nepal, or Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1st January 1962 are also eligible.

4. Marital Status:
- Flying Branch: Candidates should be unmarried.
- Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical Branch): Both married and unmarried candidates can apply.

5. Physical Fitness:
Candidates must meet the physical fitness standards set by the Indian Air Force. This includes parameters related to height, weight, visual acuity, and general health.
